•             2 cups of fresh mint leaves and also stems

•             2 cups of water

•             3 teaspoons of  fresh lemon juice

•             3 1/2 cups of sugar

•             3 drops of liquid pectin

•             2 drops of green food color


Place the mint leaves in the jar of a mixer or blender with 2 cups of water and blend for at least 10 seconds till the mint is finely hewed. Then place this paste in a medium saucepot and bring it to boil. After some time, take out from flame and steep for about 45 minutes to pervade flavor. Now, strain into a bowl through a good mesh strainer creased with wet cheesecloth, pressing out all the liquid to produce 2 cups of liquid

Again put this mint water into a clean saucepan and put lemon juice and then add sugar. Boil it for 1 minute and add pectin and let it boil more. Remove it out from flame and mix it in food color. Now pour this complete solution into a baking pan and get it cools down. Pack this pan with plastic wrap and make it cool complete night.

•             1kilogram of tart green apples

•             2 cups of water

•             1/2 tablespoon of citric acid or 2 tablespoons of Lemon juice

•             2 cups of fresh mint

•             2 cups of sugar and can add more sugar based on your taste


Initially wash and slice the apples into small pieces. Do not take out the peel of the apples. Then, put these apples into a big pan and add some water, citric acid or lemon juice and mint.

After this boil this solution on a flame and cook till it transforms to a soft paste, crushing rarely. Drain out this mixture over a jelly bag or by using a very fine cotton cloth or a slice of muslin and let to drip complete night.

Take out the juice and add some sugar as per the taste. Now, Pour this solution to a saucepan and boil gently on a flame.

Keep on heat until it becomes a thick jelly. Then take out this jelly from flame and put the saucer in a deep freezer for some time. Store this jelly in a tightly capped bottle to preserve it safely.

Mint is the best natural refreshing agent. Several types of essential minerals and vitamins such as vitamin A and Vitamin C has more mint content. Lesser amounts of minerals like potassium, iron, and copper are also present in mint.
